City Managers'' Technical Advisory Committee
(City Managers'' Steering Committee)
Background
City Managers from each city in the San Gabriel Valley are invited to gather each month to discuss topics of relevance to the COG and to the management of the cities. A Steering Committee of this group is organized to provide in-depth study and analysis for the purpose of providing recommendations to the full CMTAC and the COG Board on policy matters related to the COG. The Chair of the CMTAC is selected in June of each year.
Organization
This committee is comprised of City Managers, or Assistant City Managers, and staff from the Los Angeles County Chief Executive Office.
In addition to a Technical Advisory Committee, the SGVCOG Governing Board approved the creation of a City Managers’ Steering Committee. This smaller is responsible for providing in depth analysis and recommendations on issues of importance to the Governing Board. It is geographically balanced and includes representation from the San Gabriel Valley City Managers’ Association (SGVCMA).
